The Group was founded in 1967 in Famagusta by the Office of Youth PEO.
In Famagusta developed intense action and was one of the best bands of the site.
Vasilitzia participated in festivals abroad, including Bulgaria in 1968 and Germany in 1972 where they were awarded.
After the Turkish invasion Vasilitzia stoped operating for a while.
The Group was reestablished in Larnaca with local artists in 1977.
The Group's aim was a healthy youth involvement, dissemination and preservation of our cultural heritage, both in dance and in music, but also the new creation based on tradition. The offer all members and stakeholders is voluntary.
The results of the work group is innovative and unique.
Experts on the issues dealt with by the Group expressed much praised for the quality results.
An important event is the acquisition of a building, a dream come true and will greatly assist in the Group.
The house was renovated at the expense of thousands of pounds and is now a gem for fans and members of VASILITZIAS.
